Stepworks launch iPhone app to boost cancer awareness and knowledge

Hong Kong based branding and marketing communications agency Stepworks and the Hong Kong Cancer Fund have launched a new iPhone application, CancerCare.

CancerCare presents a wide range of cancer fact sheets and coping tools to help people boost their cancer knowledge. The app includes information covering practical support and guidance for people touched by cancer.

Users of CancerCare can easily locate Hong Kong cancer support services, and learn how to donate to the Hong Kong Cancer Fund.

Stepworks provided design and programming services for CancerCare. The app originated entirely in Hong Kong and features both English and traditional Chinese.

Stephen Barry, Managing Director of Stepworks said, “iPhone’s apps generally reach a more affluent segment. We believe the channel is a cost-effective way for the Hong Kong Cancer Fund to reach the fast growing community of iPhone and iPod Touch users. We hope the app will prove useful to Chinese and English speakers all over the world who may otherwise not have access to information about cancer.”

CancerCare joins a growing number of apps developed by Stepworks since launching iPhone applications design and programming services in early 2009.
